Building blocks are one of the simpler concepts in enterprise architecture, but they still cause confusion – partly because it is difficult to find good descriptions of how they are used in practice.

In this article, and in three related posters I aim to give you a simple overview of how building blocks are used, based on the TOGAF documentation.
