The World of Learning conference has gotten off to a great start this year. L&D specialists, HR executives and managers from all over the world have arrived at the Birmingham NEC to network and see exactly what the cutting edge of corporate learning has to offer.
One of the UK’s premier learning industry events, World of Learning attracts both industry giants and eager startups. Attendees can visit dozens of stands and lectures which cover the most disruptive and exciting topics facing the industry, including VR, combined learning and even workplace mental health.
And, of course, there are plenty of freebies to enjoy!
The Good e-Learning (GEL) team has had a lot of fun getting to know fellow attendees. Sales manager Tom Dunning said: “We often hear or read about the ways in which corporate learning is supposedly changing. Even so, actually talking with L&D specialists at an event like this can give you an entirely different perspective.
“Every organization has its own requirements, but the people working on the ground also have their own targets and concerns. Much of what we deliver is bespoke, and so getting to know professionals in this way has given us a lot to take back to the office.
“We’ve also been asked a great deal about what makes our LMS unique, so we’ve definitely taken this as a chance to show off!”
GEL’s senior digital marketing executive Yasmeen Hassoun said: “Digital tools are a hot topic this year. Businesses want to bring their content to life and make it engaging for learners, but they are starting to realize that this means more than just sticking articles online.
