About the host:

Alan Nixon has been working in IT since the 1980s, and it was discovering ITILv2 back in 2000 that set the direction for the rest of his career. He's been consulting and teaching ITIL since 2006, taking learners through versions 2, 3, 4 and now 5, alongside project and programme training in PRINCE2. ITIL remains his deepest area of expertise, and he brings a distinctive approach to it: helping people grasp the spirit of ITIL, not just the letter of it. Alan believes great learning comes down to genuine enthusiasm, from trainer and learner alike, and a willingness to think around a subject rather than just through it. Even after two decades in the field, he says it's rare to get through a week without someone raising a question or angle on ITIL he hasn't heard before, and that's exactly what keeps the subject alive for him.
