Alan Simmonds is a contributor to and practitioner of both TOGAF and COBIT with extensive experience and key insights into how they can be used to deal with various business challenges. He is particularly interested in EA as a capability to drive strategic change and ensuring that it delivers measurable benefit.As a DPO, he focuses on the practical, legal and regulatory objectives of organisations (with experience across some 10 different industry sectors) helping them to recognize, identify and deliver on their privacy obligations.Alan has hands-on experience from board-level to the department floor, addressing the legal challenges brought about by domestic and foreign data protection law, delivering training, awareness, planning and management of GDPR and related privacy obligations. His recent LLM in Data Protection Law and Intellectual Property Law supports his work in this area.
