This RESILIA Cyber Resilience Practitioner course is designed to help candidates understand the risks, issues, and value of cyber resilience in practice. The course teaches practical skills needed to apply the RESILIA framework’s proven tools and best practices, helping candidates build on what they learned at Foundation level. By the end of the course, candidates will be fully prepared to sit and pass the RESILIA Practitioner exam.

Module 1: Risk Management

This module covers how to understand, address, and manage risks typically faced by an organization. Students will learn how to use a Risk Register as well as how to develop and apply a Risk Treatment Plan. The course’s subject matter expert also provides insight into how businesses should address and manage risks.
Module 2: Cyber Resilience Strategy

This module looks at the Strategy phase of the ITIL v3 lifecycle. It examines the control objectives and ITSM interactions present in a typical cyber resilience strategy.
Module 3: Cyber Resilience Design

This module features two practice exams. Each features 50 questions as well as a scenario booklet and answer rationale.
PeopleCert Exam Information
Your exam voucher will be sent to you shortly after you purchase your course. The exam voucher must be redeemed on the PeopleCert website before starting your course. Redeeming the exam voucher allows customers to access the official eBook.
PeopleCert exams can be taken online, through your web browser or using ExamShield proctoring software. Candidates choose how to take their exam in their account area on the PeopleCert website.
PeopleCert operate an exam insurance scheme called Take2. If you would like the opportunity to retake the exam , you must purchase Take2 before taking your exam.
Take2 can be purchased through your PeopleCert account up to 15 minutes before your exam.
Alternatively, you can become a PeopleCert Plus member to receive a free resit for all certifications you take.

RESILIA Cyber Resilience Practitioner exam:
- The RESILIA Practitioner exam is 135 minutes long
- It contains 50 questions in a question and answer format
- Students must answer at least 30 questions correctly (60%) to pass
- It is a closed book exam: you will not have access to study materials while taking it
What is RESILIA?
RESILIA is a training, learning, and certification portfolio focused on building cyber resilience across an organization. This includes throughout multiple departments and at all levels. The portfolio is based on the RESILIA Cyber Resilience Best Practices Guide.
What is RESILIA Foundation?
RESILIA Foundation is an introductory qualification that covers basic knowledge of how to handle cyber risk. The Foundation certification can be obtained by passing the official exam. It leads on to more advanced qualifications such as RESILIA Practitioner.
What is RESILIA Practitioner?
RESILIA Practitioner is a high-level qualification that follows on from RESILIA Foundation. It focuses on how to utilize the RESILIA framework in practice, revisiting previous elements to demonstrate how they can be adapted and implemented for real-world organizations. Passing the exam also verifies a candidate’s ability to successfully utilize the framework.
Who is RESILIA aimed at?
Studying RESILIA can be of use to staff across multiple departments and at all levels of seniority. Knowledge of the benefits associated with cyber resilience is also useful to everyone, from IT service staff to boardroom executives.
In addition, all core business departments – HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Marketing – can benefit from having cyber resilience knowledge within their team. Having preventative measures and best practices ready to go will always be the best way to deal with potential threats.
How does RESILIA align itself with ITIL?
RESILIA is designed to complement ITIL and was developed using a lifecycle structure adapted from ITIL V3. While it functions as an independent framework, it is keenly aware of ITSM concerns and has many similarities with ITIL’s process and practice-based approach.
Both frameworks are certified by AXELOS, so organizations that already use ITIL will find it easy to integrate RESLIA into existing processes.
Why should I study RESILIA over CISSP, CISM or CISA?
CISM, CISA, and CISSP are technical certifications explicitly aimed at security professionals.
RESILIA takes a broader view, aiming to teach staff in a variety of roles and positions how to handle cyber-attacks and implement cyber resilience into the organization as a whole.
How does Cyber Resilience differ from Information Security and/or Information Assurance?
Traditionally, cybersecurity has focused on an organization’s ability to detect and prevent cyber-attacks using regularly tested technical controls and security standards. Due to the quickly evolving nature of cyber-attacks, it is no longer feasible to prevent all attacks, regardless of how up-to-date a company’s IT controls are.
Cyber resilience accepts that attacks will happen and focuses instead on how a business responds and recovers.
