A stakeholder is anyone who is affected by the project or who can be affected by it. One of the most important activities on a project is to analyze who the stakeholders are and to engage with them appropriately.

The purpose of stakeholder management is to involve and win over stakeholders so that they become active supporters of the project and help move it forward.
