A workshop can be a very effective technique for understanding business process issues and discussing possible improvements. Facilitated well, a workshop can be an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange knowledge and collaboratively design the ‘to be’ process. It can build buy-in and common understanding about what needs to change.
Yet, there are many pitfalls that await the unprepared, and it is well worth keeping these in mind when planning a process workshop.
